VOTEability Campaign: IFA Commends INEC, NCPWD, OPDs As The Campaign Records Additional 11, 661 Registrants With Disabilities

Inclusive Friends Association has appreciated INEC and other organizations who played part in their VOTEability Campaign to increase the number of persons with disabilities registering in the INEC Continuous Voters Registration (CVR).

The Campaign was launched 9 days to the end of the INEC deadline and the last push through special mobilization of PWDs through media and Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), more PWDs were registered before the July 31st, 2022 dateline.

The Campaign which commenced on 22, July 2022 and ended on 31st July 2022, recorded a cumulative increase in PWD registrants from 75,422 to 87,083 who completed registration within 9 days of the campaign.

“We appreciate the support of OPDs, JONAPWD, and National Commission For Persons with disabilities (NCPWD) who partnered and promoted the campaign Nationwide. We commended the service and cooperation of INEC Nigeria for prioritizing the communities of persons with disabilities.
