The Albino Foundation’s sincere effort to pursue an inclusive society for all sign language interpreters was provided for the 1st Conference of Speakers and Heads of African Parliaments and the Nigeria delegation’s celebration of EU Day.

COSAP

On May 10th, The Conference of Speakers and Heads of African Parliaments (COSAP) spanned over three days and provided sign language interpreters with the support of YIAGA Africa. The Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila appreciates the contributions of The Albino Foundation and called on TAF and YIAGA to work with his office to develop a PWDs inclusive guideline for African parliamentarians.

EU Day

The Nigerian delegation of the European Union celebrated EU Day on May 9th. European Union Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Her Excellency Samuela Isopi, recognised The Albino Foundation as a worthy partner with the EU in the advocacy for inclusion and equality of Persons with Disability (PWD) in all spheres of the society.
