National Institute of Police Studies has promised to ensure the continuous collaboration between the Institute, Nigeria Police Force and the National Commission of Persons with Disabilities in Nigeria. The Director General, Prof. Olu Ogunsakin, made this promise during a sensitization workshop organized by the Institute for senior Officers of the Nigeria Police Force in Abuja.

The Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons With Disabilities, Mr. James David Lalu in his address underpinned the salient roles that the Police plays in ensuring orderliness and rule of law in the society.
“The Nigeria Police Force is an integral component of the justice league for Persons with Disabilities in the country” Lalu said.
The Director Syndicate, Nigeria Police Institute, Barrister Suleiman Balarabe Yahaya, expressed his profound appreciation to the Executive Secretary for the insightful lecture and promised to avail the NCPWD all the needed support.

In another response Dr. Emem O. Olutoke of the Institute also could not hold back her emotions as a result of the passion energized by the Executive Secretary. She said discrimination against Persons With Disabilities is a serious crime and must not be allowed to foster.
The lecture was to sensitize high ranking officers of the Police Force on strategic leadership roles in Policing Diverse Societies.
