The Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities, Mr James David Lalu has assured that there will be a better service delivery for Persons With Disabilities when traveling by air as aviation authorities in Nigeria comply with the 2018 disability law.

Lalu gave the assurance on Thursday in Abuja during a courtesy visit by the Center for Ability Rehabilitation and Empowerment Foundation (CARE).

He commended the efforts of the Organization in restoring hope for PWDs traveling by air by working at the disability desks established across airports.

According to him, CARE deserves an award for its significant role in delivering better services to persons with disabilities.

The Executive Secretary promised to give total support to CARE in order to further improve the project.

He said some staff including sign language interpreters in the Commission will be mobilised to desk offices across airports for ease of task.

He also pledged that the Commission will provide more motorized equipments for mobility and ease of access to airports by Persons with Disabilities.
