The Executive Secretary National Commission for Persons with Disabilities Mr James David Lalu has inducted into the hall of fame by the members of the National Youth for Women Empowerment and Education (NYWEE)
The recognition came as a reward for his championing of the fights against societal prejudice on women and female children with disabilities.
In a statement signed by Mbanefo JohnMicheals, the head media and publicity of the commission, Mr James Lalu expressed his appreciation to the team for identifying with the Commission and honoring him as their Icon.
He said that the Commission has a special model for tackling any form of discrimination against women with disabilities as provided in the Discrimination Act (2018) against PWDs.
Lalu also expressed hopes that the relationship between the two organizations will go beyond the award recognition to a more formidable partnership.
He assured the delegation of his unflinching support as he would continue to work harder for the emancipation of Women across board.
The Spokesman of the group Mr Abdumalik Alfa in his remarks described the ES as a gentleman of good repute whose reputation as champion of Justice has overtaken him.
While decorating Lalu with a gold medal the Deputy National coordinator of the group Hauwa Gaji affirmed that the Award has made Lalu an Icon in the Hall of Fame and appealed that he doesn’t relent in his quest to promoting the course of women in the society.
