As part of program lined up for the commemoration of the United Nations’ International Day of Persons With Disabilities in Nigeria, the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) organized novelty matches in Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja .
The crowd witnessed the para-soccer players and the deaf volleyball teams play in the games.
3rd December annually is set aside to marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The day is used to advocate for rights, foster understanding, and promote inclusive actions for people with disabilities.
The theme for this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities, “United Action to Rescue and Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for, with, and by Persons with Disabilities,”
