The Executive Secretary, Kogi State Office For Disability Affairs, Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, has called on the Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and the National Commission For Persons With Disability to come to the aid of Persons with Disabilities in the State affected by the recent flooding.

The Executive Secretary in a statement described the plight of the PWDs in the State as worrisome, pointing out that the PWDs in the State are going through difficult times having been seriously affected by the flooding in the State.

While pointing out that the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian and National Commission for Person’s With Disability should quickly come to the aid of PWDs in the State, explained that there plight is pathetic as they are living in the open, with there means of livelihood completely washed away.

Barr. Dare described the present time as when the PWDs truly need help, called on the Minister and the Commission to rise to the occasion and do the needful in the interest of Government and humanity.
