Women With Disability Group Lauds Governor Ikpeazu On Disability Inclusion

The state coordinator, Women With Disabilities (NWD), Miss. Denis Chidimma has commended the state Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for making peace and unity as   his top priorities. Miss Chidimma who made the commendation during a press briefing organized by Secure Our Lives in collaboration with NWD at the school for the blind, Umuahia, noted that the level of insecurity in the country has made them traumatic and stressed. The need for the government to settle the challenges that may help our lives.

In his goodwill message, the president vision Africa  Radio Umuahia Bishop Sunday Onuoha who was represented by mr. Uwalaka Uchechukwu Encourage them to always be grateful to God for his love and mercy upon their lives. Adding that insecurity has undermined the academic activities in the country, which he said will  soon be the things of the past.  Speaking, the principal School for the Blind Mrs. Selling Ologu pointed out that the condition of people with disabilities should be normalized; and thanked the network of women with disabilities for their effort in fighting for the welfare of the vulnerable people.

In their remarks, Mrs Chidimma Okorie, Mrs. Ezenwa Onyinyechi, Mrs. Blessing Mgbagwu and Amarachi Obasi identified  the lack of peace and harmony as the root of insecurity, which they said will affect NWD and called on the government to address the challenges facing them.
