Former Governor of Gombe State, Danjuma Goje, has been attacked by thugs in Gombe State.
Senator Goje was attacked Friday morning by the thugs who tried to stop him from entering the town, destroying his vehicle in the process.
The former governor’s media aide, Lilian Nworie, told journalists that Goje left Abuja on Friday morning for a personal engagement in Gombe.
“Senator Goje had a serious encounter with some political thugs who burnt tyres on the main road as he was about to enter the state capital around International Conference Centre on the Bauchi – Gombe Road.
“Policemen stationed at the area refused to call the thugs to order as they were watching them cause mayhem in the state,” Nworie added.
There is no immediate reaction by either the Gombe State Government or the Gombe State Police Command over the incident.
