Ogun State Recognizes Excellence, Rewards Staff Member With Disability

The Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development has honored Mr. Sola Alabede, a physically challenged staff member, with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding performance and dedication to service.

Mr. Alabede emerged as the most outstanding senior staff of the ministry, surpassing a dozen of his colleagues. The award celebrates his efficiency, commitment, and contribution to the ministry’s efforts in protecting women, children, and vulnerable groups in Ogun State.

Alongside Mr. Alabede, six other staff members received various categories of awards for their contributions to the ministry’s reforms and service delivery.

Speaking at the 3-in-1 program organized by the ministry, which featured an annual lecture, an award ceremony, and a New Year party, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Motunrayo Adeleye,emphasized that the recognition was a clarion call for public servants to strive for greater excellence.

She noted that the awardees’ achievements serve as a reminder that hard work and innovation should not be self-serving but should contribute to the development of the ministry, the state, and the nation at large.

The recognition of Mr. Alabede’s excellence despite physical challenges highlights the Ogun State Government’s commitment to inclusivity, meritocracy, and equal opportunities for all workers.
